Paul Torkoff - PresidentPaul Torkoff is the founder of Competent Computer Business Solutions Inc.

Paul started his business while he was in college almost 50 years ago to earn some extra money to pay for his education. 

He graduated Northern Secondary School in the four year Business & Commerce and then attended Humber College in Toronto in a Computer Systems Analyst program. 

Unfortunately when he finished college it was difficult finding a job in the computer industry but quickly found a position in accounting.

A number of years later he purchased his first computer; an Apple II and was able to program the application software.  The knowledge of personal computers and accounting became a very successful combination.

In 1994 Paul became a DacEasy Accounting Software consultant in Canada 

Carol Torkoff started with Competent Computer in 1971

She graduated from teachers college and had difficulty finding a job in the education system and decided to work with Paul and build his business.  In 1974 Carol enrolled in the CGA course and started working towards her accounting education.

Carol attends clients offices helping with bank reconciliations and monthly procedures including filing payroll source deductions and HST reports.

 We provide a professional accounting and taxation service which caters for individuals, small and medium business corporations, investment property owners and new enterprises.
